American Women's Club of Dublin (AWCD) FAWCO Walks 100 Miles for Women’s Aid - Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
This September, I’m challenging myself to walk 100 miles as part of the American Women’s Club of Dublin (AWCD) FAWCO team to raise awareness and vital funds for Women’s Aid Ireland. I’m walking because no woman or child should ever have to live in fear—yet in Ireland, 1 in 3 women experience abuse from someone they once trusted. Every five minutes, someone reaches out to Women’s Aid for help. Their work is life-saving, but they need our support to continue.
As a proud member of FAWCO (Federation of American Women’s Clubs Overseas), I’m inspired by its long tradition of advocacy since 1931. FAWCO’s mission is to improve the lives of women and girls worldwide, with a focus on education, health, the environment, and human rights. Supporting Women’s Aid here in Ireland is one way I can live out that mission locally—turning awareness into action and solidarity into support.

Thank you for supporting me in the Women’s Aid 100 Miles Challenge. This month is a busy one — finals, moving house, and everything in between — but every mile matters.
I’m walking to raise awareness of violence against women. It doesn’t discriminate, and the data shared by Women’s Aid highlights the urgent need to recognize the “red flags” and take action.
Your support helps Women’s Aid continue their vital work — protecting women, educating communities, and saving lives. Together, every step we take brings us closer to ending domestic abuse.
