Thank you for visiting my fundraising page

This November, I am taking part in the Women’s Aid Plank Every Day in November Challenge as part of the RevFit team, alongside our members and coaches in Cabra, Churchtown and Killiney.

Across Ireland, one in three women experience abuse from someone they once loved and trusted. Every five minutes, someone contacts Women’s Aid for information and support.

Why this is personal

I have worked in the fitness industry since 2012. Over the past 18 months, our industry in Ireland has seen a number of serious cases of violence against women involving gym owners and personal trainers. These were people in positions of trust, working in spaces where women should feel safe. Survivors have spoken publicly about their fear that abusers can return to the industry undetected.

As a gym owner, I believe I have a responsibility to do more than be disappointed. Our industry needs to hold itself to higher standards, speak up, and actively support the organisations doing this vital work. Planking every day this month is a small commitment, but it is one I am making publicly and intend to keep.

Where your donation goes
