I’m walking 80K this February to raise much needed funds for Women’s Aid.

Across Ireland one in three women live with suffocating abuse from someone they once loved; someone they once trusted. Every 5 minutes, someone reaches out to Women’s Aid for information and support.

After resting for a few days, I walked to all my errands, the shops and the library to print some CVs as I need to find a job.

Thursday 5th Feb
Wednesday, February 4th, the sun shined sandwiched in between weeks of rainfall. I walked from the airport to Sandymount beach. I passed through four parks and they were filled with members of the community and their dogs also taking advantage of the warm day. I rarely listen to music in my free time but I did so for these two hours. I listed to songs I had favourited last year, last year seems so far long ago. At the beach, I overheard a woman, walking back and forth, discussing her plan to transition into her new job and ease into the team this week. I wore my boots that are a bit too big for me and my heels suffered. On the next day I'll wear my flats and hopefully go a greater distance.
