Standing Together: How Your Support Saves Lives This Year
Wednesday 19th AugDomestic abuse affects one in four women in Ireland, meaning someone you know—a friend, a coworker, or a family member—may be suffering in silence right now. Women's Aid listen, believe, and support thousands of women and children trapped in abusive homes every single year. Today, I am asking for your help to keep these life-saving services running.
The demand for specialized support services escalates constantly. Survivors face escalating barriers to safety, making Women’s Aid frontline resources more critical than ever.
- The Crisis: Control, fear, and violence isolate women from their support networks.
- Women’s Aid’s Response: They offer a 24-hour National Freephone Helpline, face-to-face support, and court accompaniment.
- The Goal: Vital funds to be raised to expand their text and online chat services for women who cannot safely speak aloud.
Every euro donated to Women’s Aid fundraising campaign directly powers immediate, practical support for survivors:
- €25 funds an in-depth support session through Women's Aid Online Chat Service.
- €50 covers the cost of an emergency face-to-face advocacy consultation.
- €100 keeps our 24/7 National Freephone Helpline running for an hour during peak crisis times.
How You Can Take Action Today
