Our Girls 💜

This challenge and this cause are incredibly close to our hearts.

As a family, we know first-hand the devastating impact that domestic violence can have. Our own lives changed forever because of an incident that no family should ever have to experience. But our story is also one of survival, strength, love and finding our way forward.

My girls and I have come a very long way, and we would never be where we are today without the incredible love and support of our family and friends who have stood beside us, lifted us on the difficult days and helped us rebuild our lives every step of the way.

That is why taking on this challenge for Women’s Aid means so much to us. We are doing it for the women and children who are living through it now, for those finding the courage to start again, and for every family and friend walking beside someone they love.

We are doing this together — for our girls, and for every girl and woman who deserves to feel safe. 💜

We’re taking part in the Walk 100 Miles in September Challenge to raise much needed funds for Women’s Aid.

Across Ireland one in three women live with suffocating abuse from someone they once loved; someone they once trusted. Every 5 minutes, someone reaches out to Women’s Aid for information and support.
