Thank you for visiting my fundraising page

I’m walking 80K this February to raise much needed funds for Women’s Aid.

Across Ireland one in three women live with suffocating abuse from someone they once loved; someone they once trusted. Every 5 minutes, someone reaches out to Women’s Aid for information and support.

Your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate a lot or a little, anything helps. I hope you can support me by donating whatever you can. By supporting Women’s Aid you can change lives, and save lives.

Simply click the Donate button. All donations are processed securely. You can also share my page using Share options below. This is a great way to show your support.

Thanks so much for your support, it will bring hope, healing and the possibility of a brighter future for women and children.

My Updates

Bit by bit

Monday 9th Feb
For the last week I've been chipping away at little local walks as we've been a bit sick. Kiddo has been sick all last week but,  Still on target, I've a few "proper" hikes planned this week to continue building towards my target. Thanks again to everyone for the support of this great cause.

Day 2

Monday 2nd Feb
Walked up to Cú Chulainn castle today for a 6km walk. Clouds were dark and threatening but turned out to be all bulk and no bust. No rain after all. Met some lovely horses along the way and all and all was a very good walk. Had himself and the pup for company so I had to keep up with them! This is probably the most active I've been since my operation so I'm still taking things one step at a time. At least I won't feel too bad now if I walk a little less on another day. Thank you all for the support , we got this!

Day 1

Sunday 1st Feb
1st day of the challenge, it was a rainy morning but I wanted to get out there anyways to start on the right foot. Turned out there was a run through town and many people were out getting soaked! =)
Did a small 4.3 km start, hoping to many little bursts and a few longer trecks.
Just going to put one foot in front of the other until I reach my goal anyway, even if it's at snail pace. First day done,  check, on we go.
