Thank you for visiting my fundraising

I’m taking part in the Walk 100 Miles in September Challenge to raise much needed funds for Women’s Aid.

Across Ireland one in four women live with suffocating abuse from someone they once loved; someone they once trusted. Every 5 minutes, someone reaches out to Women’s Aid for information and support.

Your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate a lot or a little, anything helps. I hope you can support me by donating whatever you can. By supporting Women’s Aid you can change lives, and save lives.

Simply click the Donate button. All donations are processed securely. You can also share my page using Share options below. This is a great way to show your support.

Thanks so much for your support, it will bring hope, healing and the possibility of a brighter future for women and children.

My story

Monday 19th Aug
Hi guys,
If you’ve found my page then we must be an instagram or Facebook friend so welcome to my Women’s Aid Fundraiser page!! Thanks for coming along!

My names Kerry Daly, I am a survivor of Domestic abuse & violence & in September along with my mum & best friend Kate,  we will be walking 200 miles (100 each)  in aid of Women’s Aid. My goal is to raise €250 and it would mean the absolute world to me to reach the target, so if you could donate anything at all to my challenge then I would be so grateful. I will be updating you all along the way of my journey!

My profile picture is the day I left and I took it at the port before getting on the boat. On November 14th 2023 with my 6 week old baby girl, my dog , my baby’s belongings, my car and not a cent to my name I fled my DV relationship for the final time. I had just had a C-Section, I was mentally in the worst place of my life & I felt there was no way out. My parents who are genuinely the most amazing people in the world devised a plan, my dad came to the UK , he got us and we left. This was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. Leaving your home, your life and your abuser who you value more then you value your own life is bonkers but true! The only thing I knew in my heart was that I would not be able to raise my little girl to have the best chance at life and be happy, independent and thrive if she was raised in that home and in that environment.

The journey to now has been so difficult. I’d be lying if I said it was easy. It has brought so many challenges not just to me but to my family as well & my close friends. I have had to start re-wiring my brain and how i see the world along with how i see myself. I have had to be honest and accept accountability for the lies I’ve told to protect him, and the dishonesty and mistrust people now have in me. I have had to really dig deep inside to find Kerry who I have been stripped of for many years and save her and tell her she is enough and she is worthy of being saved. She is loved and I’ve had to save myself in order to raise my precious girl to be her wonderful self. I am on my journey of overcoming PTSD, Post natal depression, chronic depression, anxiety, poor physical & mental health the list goes on.

I would never have become free & independent if it weren’t for my parents especially my mum. She is my rock & I owe everything to them both. My auntie & uncle David & Debbie I love you both forever, my life long best friends - Niamh & David, Browner, Orlando THANK YOU FOR NEVER GIVING UP ON ME. As much as I did this for Katy Mae, I COULDN'T have done it without you all. I wouldn’t have done it.

1 in 4 people in Ireland are affected everyday by abuse in an intimate relationship in the home. Women’s aid do so much for victims and survivors and in order to keep helping they need to raise much needed funds for resources.

Finally - Katy Mae thank you for choosing me to be your mammy. I hope I always make you proud . I love you in this life time and every other one.

Thanks for reading - Ker Daly xxx
