I am delighted to announce that I will be taking part in the Women's Aid Ireland Walk 100 Miles in September Challenge!
From reading the headlines alone, it is clear that violence against women in Ireland remains a huge problem. By July this year, 8 women had been violently killed in Ireland, already surpassing the total of 7 women killed throughout the whole of 2025.Reading the stories and articles about the victims over the past several months has left me feeling incredibly helpless. However, I hope that by taking part in this challenge, I can play a small part in supporting the help and change that is needed to protect women in our society.
If you are in a position to donate, I would be incredibly grateful. Even a small donation can make a difference, with funds going towards vital services including the Women’s Aid National Freephone Helpline and direct financial support for women.
This is a cause that is very close to my heart, and I am really looking forward to taking on the Walk 100 Miles in September Challenge this September!
