I’m walking 80K this February to raise much needed funds for Women’s Aid.
Across Ireland one in three women live with suffocating abuse from someone they once loved; someone they once trusted. Every 5 minutes, someone reaches out to Women’s Aid for information and support.
Your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate a lot or a little, anything helps. I hope you can support me by donating whatever you can. By supporting Women’s Aid you can change lives, and save lives.
Simply click the Donate button. All donations are processed securely. You can also share my page using Share options below. This is a great way to show your support.
Thanks so much for your support, it will bring hope, healing and the possibility of a brighter future for women and children.

Why I Chose to Be Part of Women’s Aid Ireland
Thursday 29th JanI chose to support Women’s Aid Ireland because no woman should feel alone in her darkest moments. Because help should not depend on luck, geography, or whether someone believes you.
Women’s Aid Ireland represents hope — a lifeline for women who are trapped, frightened, and unsure of where to turn. Their work gives women something abuse has taken away: choice. Safety. A voice.
I am part of this cause because I believe in showing up, even when it’s uncomfortable. Because awareness matters. Because action matters.
If I can walk a few extra miles, it could change someone’s life.
That walk is more than a physical challenge. It’s a statement. It says: I see you. I believe you. You matter. It says that even small acts of solidarity can ripple outward, creating real change.

WHY EVEN?! I'LL TELL YOU WHY
Monday 12th JanDomestic abuse is not a private issue — it affects families, communities, and society as a whole. Women’s Aid Ireland provides essential support to women experiencing abuse from intimate partners, offering practical help, information, and advocacy when it is most needed.
Abuse does not always involve physical violence. It can take the form of control, constant criticism, isolation, or ongoing hostility. Over time, this kind of environment damages confidence, mental health, and a person’s sense of safety. Without support, many women feel trapped and unsure where to turn.
Women’s Aid Ireland plays a vital role in making support visible and accessible. Their helplines, refuge services, and education work help women understand what they are experiencing and remind them that help is available.
As someone who has lived in an abusive relationship, I know how deeply damaging sustained hostility from a partner can be. That experience is why I feel strongly about the importance of organisations like Women’s Aid Ireland.
Supporting their work — through awareness, donations, or advocacy — helps ensure that women are not left to face abuse alone. It is a practical and meaningful way to stand up for safety, dignity, and change.
