Thank you for visiting my fundraising page

I’m walking 80K this February to raise much needed funds for Women’s Aid.

Across Ireland one in three women live with suffocating abuse from someone they once loved; someone they once trusted. Every 5 minutes, someone reaches out to Women’s Aid for information and support.

Your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate a lot or a little, anything helps. I hope you can support me by donating whatever you can. By supporting Women’s Aid you can change lives, and save lives.

Simply click the Donate button. All donations are processed securely. You can also share my page using Share options below. This is a great way to show your support.

Thanks so much for your support, it will bring hope, healing and the possibility of a brighter future for women and children.

Cold hands and warm heart!

Sunday 22nd Feb

On Friday afternoon I decided to go for a walk around my neighborhood.

The light was really beautiful. It made everything feel softer and calmer, even the streets I see every day. The sun was falling on the canal water and the beautiful reflection it created.

But the wind was freezing, it didn’t match the sunshine at all.

Still, I’m glad I went out. Sometimes it’s enough just to step outside, feel the light, and take a break from the day, even if you come back with cold hands (and warm heart)!

Night walkers

Friday 20th Feb

Last night, I almost didn’t go.

It was late, and I was tired. But when I looked outside, I noticed it wasn’t raining. After so many wet evenings, I decided to put on my shoes and stepped out.

Living near the city center makes it easier to walk late — there’s always life around you.

And then I saw the moon.

It was beautiful.  I slowed down without meaning to. The tiredness didn’t disappear, but it softened.

By the time I came home, I was still tired, but I was glad I had gone. Sometimes a short walk under a clear sky is enough to bring you back to yourself.

Lunar New Year in Dublin

Sunday 15th Feb

Today I felt completely drained, but I still pushed myself to go for a walk, even with the rain coming and going.

It’s Lunar New Year, and the city centre is full of lights and lanterns. There’s something really special about it — colour, warmth, and little moments of joy everywhere. Despite the grey weather, everything felt full of love.

I came home feeling lighter, and my cat was there to welcome me. Sometimes the hardest part is just stepping outside.

Friday I'm in love!

Sunday 15th Feb

On Friday, the sun finally made an appearance in Dublin. I stepped away from work, took a proper break, and went for a walk — my first in almost a week.

This time I stayed in my own neighborhood, which has been dubbed the “Brooklyn of Dublin.” I loved the light, the atmosphere, and just being out and about again. It was absolutely freezing, but honestly, it made my day.

Sometimes a little sunshine is all you need ☀️

A Shift in Light: Celebrating Imbolc and All Women

Sunday 1st Feb

It was a glorious day today. The sun was out for the first time in weeks, just in time to celebrate Brigid and Imbolc, the ancient festival marking the beginning of spring.

I marked the first day of spring with my first walk of the month, and honestly, the sunshine felt like a blessing. It’s amazing how a little light can shift the whole perspective and lift one's mood.

To all my sponsors, thank you - you are giving me the motivation to continue, We are indeed blessed by Brigid.

I'll keep going. This is just the beginning 💜

First day!

Before I start walking...

Sunday 11th Jan
Before I begin sharing updates about my Walk 80K journey, I wanted to share a little context.

A few years ago, my Facebook account was stolen and used to hack several of my friends through a fake blog created in my name. It was a deeply unsettling experience, and I chose not to return to Facebook afterward. Because of that, I’ll be sharing my updates here instead and only through channels I trust. If you ever have any doubts, please feel free to contact me directly.

This challenge is also personal for me. After years of ups and downs, my health has steadily improved, and over the past three months I’ve been able to resume walking regularly. Taking on Walk 80K feels like a meaningful way to celebrate that progress.

I’m dedicating these walks to women like me — those who continue moving forward despite abuse and adversity, never stopping even when the path is hard.

Thank you for your support and encouragement, it truly means a lot. Stay tuned for more updates in February💜
