Across Ireland one in three women live with suffocating abuse from someone they once loved; someone they once trusted. Every 5 minutes, someone reaches out to Women’s Aid for information and support.

International Women’s Day- Give to Take
Saturday 7th MarInternational Women's Day (IWD) has been observed since the early 1900s, with roots in labour movements and the fight for women's suffrage. It was officially recognized by the United Nations in 1975 and has since become a Global Day of Celebration and advocacy. IWD is celebrated annually on March 8 to honour the achievements of women, raise awareness about gender inequality, and advocate for women's rights worldwide.

At this event, we shall fundraise on behalf of Women's Aid to assist women experiencing economic abuse or hardship and can access the following support:
The Emergency Fund provides vouchers for the immediate safety and well-being needs of abused women and children. This fund can be used for groceries, clothes, household appliances and additional support in a time of need.
