Hairy Ladies update
On Lá Fhéile Bríde, the Hairy Ladies (Heidi, Jan, Issy, Galina, and Aingeala) jumped into the sea - several times - at Sandycove. It was a lot of fun and great to see so many other women out braving the icy waters of the Irish Sea to raise funds for Women's Aid. Everyone of you knows a woman whose life has been affected by domestic violence and while we’re trying to lift the silence, taboo and shame around it, we can raise funds and awareness. The Hairy Ladies have so far raised over €4000, which is much more than we aimed for, so thank you to the women and men in our families, friend groups, workplaces and in Stratford Lawn Tennis Club for your generosity and encouragement.Thank you for visiting our team fundraising page
We’re taking part in the Cold Swim for Women this St Brigid's Bank holiday weekend to raise much needed funds for Women’s Aid.
Across Ireland one in three women live with suffocating abuse from someone they once loved; someone they once trusted. Every 5 minutes, someone reaches out to Women’s Aid for information and support.
